Making Tokyo a more livable place for everyone with smart services
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government aims to realize "Smart Tokyo," a convenient and comfortable city utilizing cutting-edge technologies.
To promote this vision, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government launched the "Smart Service Implementation Promotion Project" in fiscal 2022, which seeks to improve the convenience and quality of life for Tokyo residents by deploying smart services developed by innovative startups and other entities throughout the city. In order to further expand the "Be Smart Tokyo" initiatives, the project will newly implement smart services with the theme of inclusiveness across Tokyo.

About

The project themed around inclusiveness serves as a successor to the Smart Service Implementation Promotion Project launched in fiscal 2022. Comprehensive support will be provided for the social implementation of smart services designed to address social issues. By leveraging digital services to empower individuals, increase available personal time, and solve various challenges, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government aims to make meaningful progress in resolving social issues.

As a follow-up to the “Be Smart Tokyo”
initiative launched in FY2022,
a new Smart Service Implementation Promotion Project with the theme of “inclusiveness” will commence in FY2025.

Entry

A partnership agreement has been established with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to promote the project. Public solicitation will be conducted to recruit “Smart Service Implementation Promotion Businesses” that support startups and other entities responsible for implementing smart services. The project will advance the social implementation of smart services themed around inclusiveness, based on the activities of “Smart Service Implementation Promotion Businesses” selected through public solicitation.

Smart Service Promoter

This project, with the theme of "inclusiveness," selects "Smart Service Promoter" who will promote the implementation of smart services that improve quality of life and create more free time. Each Smart Service Promoter will be required to work towards implementing more than 40 smart services over a three-year period.
